Product Description

Parker high flow filter refers to the complete industrial filtration assembly consisting of high‑flow filter housing and matched Fulflo Mega‑Flow series filter cartridges, widely used for large‑flow raw water purification, process liquid filtration and security pre‑filtration before reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration systems. Different from ordinary small‑bore filter equipment, this product adopts a 6‑inch large‑diameter filter cartridge design. One single high‑flow filter cartridge can reach the flow rate equivalent to multiple traditional 2.5‑inch filter cartridges, which greatly reduces the total number of internal filter elements inside the housing, simplifies skid layout, saves installation space and cuts project capital investment.

The supporting filter cartridges include classic models MFNP005‑40N, MFNP010‑40N, MFNP050‑40N and MFNP050‑40N‑ITT, covering 0.5 μm‑10 μm filtration precision, with 20‑inch and 40‑inch mainstream lengths. There are universal flat end‑cap and special ITT customized end‑cap versions to adapt to different housing internal structures. The filter cartridges adopt full polypropylene gradient pleated material, thermal‑fusion hot‑melt welding without adhesive glue, avoiding fiber shedding and secondary pollution. Standard Buna‑N nitrile O‑ring provides reliable sealing performance, and the integrated lifting handle supports tool‑free quick replacement, lowering on‑site maintenance labor intensity and system downtime.

The matched Parker high flow filter housing is made of high‑strength material options such as carbon steel or stainless steel, suitable for 24‑hour continuous heavy‑duty industrial working conditions. The maximum continuous operating temperature of the whole set can reach 82 °C, with good chemical compatibility for neutral, weak acid and weak‑alkali process fluids. It is widely selected in power, petrochemical, food‑beverage, electronic manufacturing and municipal water‑treatment projects, applicable to both new‑built systems and old‑equipment renovation scenarios.

Working Principle

Parker high flow filter assembly operates based on outside‑in depth filtration principle. Under system pressure, raw water or industrial process liquid enters the filter housing body and flows toward the outer pleated surface of the internal Mega‑Flow filter cartridge. Multi‑layer gradient pore filter media realizes graded interception: coarse sediment and large flocs are trapped on the outer coarse‑pore layer, while fine suspended solids, colloidal particles and tiny impurities are intercepted by inner fine‑pore layers.

The gradient structural design maximizes dirt‑holding space and slows the rising speed of inlet‑outlet differential pressure. After being purified step by step, liquid converges through the inner support core of filter cartridge and flows steadily to downstream RO, UF and other precision separation equipment. Reinforced inner‑outer support cages effectively resist high‑speed water‑flow impact and prevent filter media collapse and liquid bypass. When the inlet‑outlet differential pressure rises to 25‑30 PSID alarm threshold, operators need to replace the internal filter cartridge timely to restore rated flow and filtration efficiency of the whole high flow filter system.

  • FAQ

Q1: What does Parker high flow filter consist of?

A1: It is a complete filtration assembly, including high‑flow filter housing and matched Fulflo Mega‑Flow series large‑diameter pleated filter cartridges, represented by MFNP‑series models.

Q2: What is the core advantage of Parker high flow filter compared with traditional small‑filter systems?

A2: Adopting 6‑inch large‑diameter filter cartridges, single‑cartridge flow equals multiple small‑size cartridges, which reduces cartridge quantity, housing size, labor cost and energy consumption for the whole project.

Q3: When to replace the internal cartridge of Parker high flow filter?

A3: Replace filter cartridge when inlet‑outlet differential pressure reaches 25‑30 PSID or obvious flow‑rate attenuation occurs. Regular replacement according to on‑site raw‑water quality is also recommended.

Q4: Can the filter cartridge of Parker high flow filter be cleaned and reused?

A4: The matched Mega‑Flow filter cartridge is disposable polypropylene pleated consumable. After colloids and fine particles block internal pores, cleaning cannot fully restore filtration performance, direct replacement is suggested after pressure‑drop alarm.

Q5: What points should be confirmed before selecting Parker high flow filter?

A5: Confirm housing material, required flow rate, filter cartridge end‑cap type, select micron rating according to raw‑water SDI and downstream membrane requirements, and verify seal material matching fluid temperature and chemical properties.
