Product Description

Cartridge filters MFNP050-40N-ITT is a 40-inch pleated filter cartridge designed for industrial microfiltration and membrane pretreatment. The whole cartridge is constructed with reinforced polypropylene inner and outer support cages, gradient pleated filter medium, injection molded end caps and elastic sealing gaskets. All assembly connections adopt thermal fusion welding technology without adhesive, avoiding organic solvent dissolution and secondary contamination to process fluid.

MFNP050-40N-ITT follows the classic outside-in filtration flow path. As a fixed 5μm grade filter cartridge, it is widely selected as the standard security barrier before reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration systems. The intensive pleated layout expands the effective filtration area significantly, achieving higher flow rates and longer service cycles compared with ordinary wound filter cartridges of the same length. It can effectively trap fine particles that escape from multimedia filtration and activated carbon filtration units.

This cartridge filter is widely used in boiler feed water preparation, industrial circulating water treatment, chemical process liquid filtration, wastewater reuse and electronics ultrapure water production. Working Principle

Cartridge filters MFNP050-40N-ITT operates based on outside-in cross-flow microfiltration principle. Untreated liquid enters the filter housing and flows to the outer surface of the filter cartridge. Solid particles, sediment and colloidal contaminants are captured on the surface and internal layers of gradient pleated medium. Clean liquid penetrates the filter medium and converges inside the inner support core, then flows out as qualified filtrate.

The large pleated filtration area lowers initial flow resistance. During continuous operation, intercepted pollutants accumulate gradually, leading to slow growth of pressure difference between inlet and outlet. Once the differential pressure reaches the preset replacement threshold, operators need to replace MFNP050-40N-ITT cartridge filters to restore system flow capacity. Polypropylene raw material provides stable chemical compatibility, adapting to neutral aqueous liquid and conventional acid & alkali cleaning solutions used for filter housing maintenance.
