2. Working Principle of Automatic Ultrafiltration Equipment

Our automatic ultrafiltration equipment operates based on pressure-driven cross-flow physical interception principle, and the whole working cycle is automatically switched by the PLC program into three core working modes: automatic water production, automatic backwashing and periodic automatic chemical cleaning.

2.1 Automatic Normal Water Production Stage

After preliminary filtration by multimedia filter and 5μm precision security filter, raw water is sent into hollow fiber membrane inner cavity under the pressure of feed pump. Ultrafiltration membrane pore size is fixed at 0.01~0.1μm. Water molecules and tiny soluble substances penetrate the membrane wall to form qualified permeate water, which flows into intermediate water tank for subsequent reverse osmosis desalination treatment. Solid particles, colloids and microorganisms are trapped inside membrane tubes or attached to membrane surfaces. 2.2 Automatic Backwashing Stage

Along with continuous accumulation of intercepted pollutants, the pressure difference of membrane module inlet and outlet rises gradually. Once the numerical value reaches the preset threshold inside PLC program, the electric valves will switch pipelines automatically. Clean produced water carries out reverse flushing to wash off loose pollutants, and concentrated sewage is discharged outward automatically. The whole backwashing process runs automatically without human intervention and will not cause long system shutdown.

2.3 Automatic Periodic Chemical Cleaning Stage

Long-term physical backwashing cannot completely remove biological slime, organic attachments and tiny inorganic scale inside membrane pores.
