High flow industrial water filter is a complete filtration assembly built around large diameter pleated filter cartridges, designed specifically for the pretreatment stage of industrial ultrafiltration water treatment systems. This system consists of filter housing, filter cartridges, sealing rings, inlet and outlet ports, pressure gauges and related piping accessories. The core consumable inside the housing is the high flow pleated filter cartridge, which is commonly made of virgin polypropylene media, glass fiber or other filter materials. Raw water enters the filter housing and passes through filter cartridges to intercept silt, rust, suspended particles and colloidal contaminants before flowing into ultrafiltration membranes. Working Principle

High flow industrial water filter works based on surface filtration and depth filtration combined mechanism. Raw water flows into the pressure filter housing through the inlet pipeline, then flows radially from the outer pleated surface of filter cartridges to the inner core. Larger contaminants such as sediment and iron rust are trapped on the outer pleated surface of filter media. Fine colloids and tiny suspended particles penetrate into the multi-layer fiber structure and get captured inside the gaps of filter media.

The pleated structure maximizes the effective filtration area of each filter cartridge, evenly distributing the intercepted pollutants on the whole filter medium. This design prevents contaminants from quickly blocking the filter surface, slows the rise of differential pressure between filter inlet and outlet, and improves dirt holding capacity.
