Working Principle

High flow rate filters operate with surface-depth composite pleated filtration mechanism. Raw water enters the filter housing and flows radially inward starting from the outer pleated surface of the filter cartridge. Larger solid particles, rust fragments and sediment are trapped on the outer pleated layer. Fine colloids and tiny suspended particles penetrate into layered polypropylene fiber medium and get intercepted inside dense fiber gaps.

With optimized wide-area pleat layout, trapped pollutants spread evenly across the whole filter medium surface instead of accumulating only on the outer layer. This design slows the rising speed of inlet-outlet differential pressure, maximizes dirt holding capacity and extends the usable running cycle of each filter cartridge. When the pressure difference between filter inlet and outlet reaches the preset threshold value, the filter medium becomes saturated with captured contaminants, and field operators need to install new high flow rate filters.

High flow rate filters form the primary protective barrier for ultrafiltration membranes.
