Hydranautics HYDRAcap40 Industrial Grade UF Module Equivalent

Product Introduction

The HYDRAcap40 Industrial Grade Ultrafiltration (UF) Module is a high-performance water treatment solution engineered to match and exceed the standards set by the original Hydranautics HYDRAcap®40 module. Built with cutting-edge hollow fiber membrane technology, this module offers a reliable and efficient way to remove suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants from various water sources.

Manufactured with polyethersulfone (PES) membranes and designed for full compatibility with existing HYDRAcap®40 systems, the HYDRAcap40 module provides equivalent performance while offering competitive advantages in durability, pricing, and maintenance. Its outside-in filtration mode, robust structure, and high flow capacity make it ideal for municipal drinking water production, industrial water treatment, and pretreatment for reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

Whether you are installing a new ultrafiltration system or retrofitting an existing one, the HYDRAcap40 module is a reliable, cost-effective solution engineered for long-term performance.

Working Principle

The HYDRAcap40 UF module operates using a physical separation process via hollow fiber ultrafiltration membranes in an outside-in flow configuration.

Filtration Process:

1.    Feed water enters the outer shell of the module and surrounds the hollow fibers.

2.    Contaminants such as suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, colloids, and organics are retained on the outer surface of the membrane.

3.    Filtered water (permeate) passes through the membrane wall into the hollow fiber lumen.

4.    Permeate exits the module via the internal permeate port.

5.    Backwashing and chemical cleaning (CIP) remove accumulated fouling from the membrane surface and restore performance.

This design supports continuous filtration and ensures stable, long-term operation with minimal energy consumption and low transmembrane pressure (TMP).
