2. Working Principle of 100 Ton Ultrafiltration Equipment

2.1 Normal Water Production Operation

Raw water is pressurized by the raw water pump and evenly delivered to each group of hollow fiber membrane components inside the 100-ton equipment. The membrane pore size is controlled at 0.01~0.1μm; water molecules and small soluble inorganic substances penetrate the membrane wall to form qualified produced water and flow into the clean water storage tank. Suspended solids, colloids, bacteria, algae and macromolecular organic pollutants are intercepted on the inner surface of the hollow fiber membrane. Most raw water flows along the membrane surface to form cross-flow scouring water flow, which continuously washes the membrane surface to reduce the deposition rate of pollutants and maintain stable membrane flux.

2.2 Timed Automatic Backwashing

When the pressure difference between the raw water side and produced water side of the membrane module rises to the set threshold, the PLC system automatically starts the backwashing program. Using clean produced water for reverse flushing from the produced water side to the raw water side, the dirt attached to the membrane surface is peeled off and discharged out of the system through the sewage pipeline. The backwashing process only occupies a short time and will not affect the overall continuous water supply of the 100-ton equipment.

2.3 Regular Chemical Circulation Cleaning

After long-term continuous operation, organic dirt, biological slime and inorganic scale will accumulate inside the membrane pores.
