Seawater reverse osmosis element is the heart of any seawater desalination plant and integrated ultrafiltration water treatment system. It is designed to separate dissolved salts, heavy metals, organic pollutants, colloids and suspended particles out of raw seawater, turning saline seawater into fresh water that meets industrial or potable standards. In a full desalination workflow, the seawater reverse osmosis element cannot work independently. Working Principle

The working principle of seawater reverse osmosis element relies on reverse osmosis technology. Under normal natural conditions, water molecules will flow from low-concentration fresh water side to high-concentration seawater side through semi-permeable membrane, which is called osmosis.
