The original Marksman cartridge innovatively combines the advantages of cartridge filtration and bag filter systems, widely deployed in industrial process fluid purification. However, high original prices and lengthy delivery cycles create operational burdens for plant operators and EPC contractors. This replacement series maintains the iconic 6-inch (152 mm) wide diameter geometry and adjustable push-in sealing adapter. It supports direct retrofitting into existing Size 1 and Size 2 bag filter baskets, as well as 40-inch dedicated Marksman housings. Multiple media configurations are available: pleated Poly-Fine style depth media, melt-blown gradient media equivalent to NXA series, and gel guard enhanced media for fluids containing deformable colloids. Filtration ratings cover 1μm ~ 150μm, meeting nominal and absolute filtration requirements.
All-polypropylene construction enables broad chemical compatibility. Optional EPDM, Buna-N and Viton seals adapt to aqueous liquid, weak chemicals and light oil working conditions. Filtration Working Principle
Replace Pall Marksman inherits the classic inside-out filtration principle of original Marksman elements. Driven by system pressure, raw fluid flows into the inner cavity of the wide-diameter cartridge and penetrates outward through multi-layer gradient pleated media. Coarse contaminants are trapped on inner layers, while fine particles and compressible colloids are deeply intercepted by outer precision media.
All pollutants remain locked inside the cartridge during maintenance, preventing secondary particle unloading and clean fluid contamination. The large pleated surface area reduces fluid resistance and delays differential pressure growth. After purification, fluid flows outward into subsequent treatment units. Operators shall replace cartridges promptly once inlet-outlet differential pressure reaches 35 PSID to restore designed flow rate and filtration efficiency.
