Product Introduction

As a mature industrial water filter, the high flow filter cartridge is installed inside the water filter housing for solid contaminant interception, and can be matched with a self-cleaning filter to build multi-stage pretreatment for RO systems. The PFTM1-20-H13 high flow filter element uses 100% high-purity pleated polypropylene filter media with PP support and end caps, paired with EPDM (H13) O-ring seals. Many industrial plants rely on this imported high flow cartridge, but high cost and slow delivery affect project schedules and maintenance plans. Our equivalent replacement cartridge maintains identical physical size, flow direction and sealing structure, so it can be fitted into your existing filter housing without modification, efficiently trapping fine suspended solids and protecting downstream RO membranes.
Working Principle

Different from conventional outside-in high flow filters, PFTM1-20-H13 uses inside-to-outside flow path. Raw water enters the inner hollow core of the filter cartridge first, then flows outward through the pleated PP media. Fine particles and suspended impurities are captured and retained inside the filter pleats, while clean water flows out from the outer surface of the cartridge.
This inside-out structure helps reduce surface cake release and particle re-entrainment. The upstream self-cleaning filter removes large sediment in advance, lowering the particle load and extending the service life of PFTM1-20-H13 cartridge.

Core Advantages
1:1 Drop-in Replacement for PALL PFTM1-20-H13
Same dimension, end cap interface, inside-to-outside flow design and EPDM sealing. No modification needed for your existing water filter housing, easy retrofit.
Inside-to-outside Flow Reduces Particle Re-release Risk
Impurities are trapped within the pleated media, instead of accumulating on the outer surface. It minimizes the risk of particle shedding back into the fluid during start-stop cycles.
Broad Chemical Compatibility for Weak Acid & Weak Alkali Water
Full PP construction plus EPDM seals offers excellent tolerance to neutral water, weak acid and weak alkaline wastewater, ideal for general industrial pretreatment.
High Dirt Holding Capacity with Pleated PP Media
High-purity pleated polypropylene media provides large filtration area, holding more suspended solids and extending service cycles, cutting cartridge replacement frequency.
Perfectly Works With Self Cleaning Filter in Multi-stage Pretreatment
Pairing with upstream self-cleaning filter removes coarse impurities, reducing the contaminant burden on PFTM1-20-H13, stabilizing differential pressure and protecting RO membranes.
Application Scenarios

Industrial RO pretreatment for pure water plants
General river / groundwater filtration
Weak acid & weak alkali industrial process water
Cooling circulating water filtration
Wastewater reuse pretreatment
Fine particle protection for downstream membrane systems
FAQ
Q1: Is this cartridge fully interchangeable with original PALL PFTM1-20-H13?
A1: Yes. Size, flow direction, media material and EPDM seal are fully matched. It can be directly installed in your current filter housing.
Q2: What does inside-to-outside flow mean for this cartridge?
A2: Raw water enters the inner core and flows outward through filter media. Solids are trapped inside the pleats, which reduces particle wash-off risk compared with outside-in style.
Q3: Can this cartridge be used for strong acid or strong alkaline fluid?
A3: It is designed for normal water and weak acid / weak alkali. Not recommended for high concentration strong corrosive media.
Q4: What micron rating is this replacement filter?
A4: Absolute 1μm, consistent with the original PALL PFTM1-20-H13.
Q5: How to judge when to replace the filter cartridge?
A5: Replace the cartridge when the inlet and outlet differential pressure reaches the recommended threshold, preventing particle breakthrough to your RO membranes.
