Product Description

HF60 filter is a typical outside-in high flow filter cartridge, developed for high-capacity industrial water treatment and process liquid filtration. The complete filter cartridge consists of reinforced inner and outer support cages, multi-layer gradient pleated filter medium, injection-molded end caps and elastic sealing gaskets. Thermal fusion welding technology is adopted for assembly without extra adhesive, preventing organic dissolution and secondary contamination to fluid.

Multiple filtration precision grades are available for HF60 filter, covering 1μm, 5μm, 10μm and 20μm, which can match different pretreatment standards before membrane systems. It mainly undertakes security filtration tasks, intercepting fine impurities that escape from multi-media filtration and activated carbon filtration. A single HF60 filter delivers much higher flow capacity than conventional 20-inch folded filter cartridges, which reduces the total quantity of filter elements required in the filter housing and optimizes system pipeline layout.

Working Principle

HF60 filter operates based on outside-in cross-flow filtration principle. Untreated fluid enters the filter housing and flows toward the outer surface of HF60 filter. Particulate pollutants, sediment and colloids are trapped on the surface and internal layers of pleated medium. Purified fluid penetrates the filter medium and converges inside the inner support core, then flows out as filtrate.

The intensive pleated structure greatly expands the effective filtration area. As intercepted pollutants accumulate continuously, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet will rise gradually. Once differential pressure reaches the preset alarm value, operators need to replace HF60 filter to restore system flow rate. Polypropylene raw material brings excellent chemical compatibility, adapting to neutral aqueous fluid and routine acid & alkali cleaning solutions used for filter housing maintenance. The rigid support cage prevents filter medium deformation under instantaneous water pressure impact, avoiding fluid bypass and guaranteeing stable filtration efficiency throughout the service cycle.
